also, onbar backups can be validated by 'onbar -v' command

I'm sorry to make light of your plight, Ange, but it constatntly takes
my
breath away how on earth do people *get* into such a position.
We had a Informix site recently, already in administration, who called
up
desperately trying to retrieve their data. They too had no back-up. We
couldn't rcover their data, and I've since read that they've gone bust.
Worry not though, dear reader, as they were in admin we made them pay
for
our time up front by credit card.
I sound unsympathetic, don't I? I hope someone sorts you out.
