spurious updates

I am using 4GL RDS 1.10.03k with SCO Xenix 2.3.4 and getting intermittent updating of rows which I have not selected using some column values which I have selected the updates show up in the audit log but not in my program generated log of updates and inserts. So far I have failed to find any problems with the code. As a long shot has anyone had similar problems with this old version of 4GL RDS and Xenix ?
