Please helo to find the query which gets the difference in Index between 2 databases in Informix. Regards Bhimsen
Check out dbdiff2 at iiug.org. This compares indexes (among other things). It approaches the problem assuming that the names are different, so it totally blows out each index and then compares the results. j. -----Original Message----- From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org]On Behalf Of Bhimsen Bukkebag Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2007 7:10 AM To: ids@iiug.org Subject: Fwd: Delivery Status Notification (Failure) [10093] Please helo to find the query which gets the difference in Index between 2 databases in Informix. The query would depend on the IDS version as the IDS 4/5/6/7 table sysindexes was replaced with a new table in IDS 9+ - sysindices with a different structure and a VIEW named sysindexes that mimics the old table. Neither query is simple though. Try the dbdiff2 utility or my mydbdiff script included with the package utils2_ak (depends on my myschema utility in the same package). These can compare schema between two databases and mydbdiff can also be used to discover changes over time if you same myschema output to compare to a live schema. Art S.
