Error message in online.log

We received the following error messages overnight, can anyone add any thoughts on why this would suddenly start happening when the system had been working fine all day. The errors occurred continuously until I rebooted the server when I saw 4 messages in the log before everything miraculously started working fine again. You should check your operating system logs, these errors occurs for example when your application server is dying, your network card/cable is faulty (or a switch/router).
