Res: Restore backup and Archecker Failed...

Hi Superboer. This version is 7.31 FD2 - 64bits.. The OS HP-UX is 64Bits and the file system (VxFS) is configured to support files bigger then 2GB. To generate backups files and exports with HPL , files bigger 2GB works fine... I check the block size and that is ok. (V731!!!) how big is this 'file'/'tape' in reality??? you could try and fake it using TAPEDEV <sometrustedhost>:/backup/L_backup and put /backup/L_backup... HMMMM providing the size of the file/tape is not 2 GB but bigger..... or dd the file to a real tape... using the blocksize of 1024k the use the tape to restore???!!! check it please. hope not, but it sure sounds your in trouble....
