-956 error

Hi I am using Informix 5.04 on SunOS 4.1.x. I am using my esql/c program as a cgi script. Everytime I tried to connect to the Informix server as a cgi script, I get -956 error -- Client or user is not trusted by the database server. The manual suggests I should modify /etc/hosts.equiv or .rhosts, but for security reason, this is a out of question. This mean we will be giving nobody a root access. Altenate suggestion was to use CONNECT statement, but this is not available for Informix 5.04. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this problem??? Thanks Hyun hyun@octel.com
