Also you'r probably not runing Informix SE, there are no chunks and dbspaces, but there are a large number of other versions of Informix databases that do have chuncks and dbspaces. And there are several ways to add chunks to dbspaces. Perhaps you can tell us how you tried to do it. I don't know the answer to your problem, but such information might make it simpler for someone else to answer you.
