Update utility

Hi Folks!! Does anybody knows some utility for running Update Statistics for DSA 7.3x, like Art's dostats which does not require SQL C ? Thanks, Gustavo Murad

Sure, there are several in the Repository based on various scripting tools including perl, awk, sed, etc. A new one was added just a week or two ago. BTW you are aware that if you have C4GL 6.00 or later (I thought you needed 4GL 7.xx but someone just today tells me 6.05 works for him if he PREPAREs and EXECUTEs the SET PDQPRIORITY statements which are not recognized [C4GL 6.xx used SQL 4.xx syntax]) you can compile dostats.ec. Also be aware that the SDK (which includes ESQL) is FREE for the asking on almost all platforms that Informix supports with 7.3x!!!!!!!!!!!! So you COULD use dostats.ec as long as you have an ANSI C compiler (Solaris requires the Development package or a GCC download and HP's compiler is not ANSI by default but there is a commandline option to force it to parse ANSI source).
