Re: Migration between NewEra2.x and NewEra3.0

David - Ive run into the same bug in different situations but have found cluges/workarounds for each. 1) This will happen if you're running against a 5.x online engine and have a database statement in your pre_header. This is a bug and tech support has informed me that it will be fixed in 3.1. My workaround was to upgrade my online database to 7.x. In the newer DB version, the connect() works fine. 2) This will happen if you're running against the 7.x standard engine that comes with NE3. Tech support was NOT able to duplicate this problem but Ive determined that it has something to do with the DBPATH environment variable. First, change the default value of DBPATH from (for example) DBPATH=C$\\db to c:\\db. I dont know whats going on here, but when I usethe $ instead of the :, I cant use my superTable editor in the WP. Now move the generated executable into the actual DBPATH directory (c:\\db) and run it from there. Once one program is connected to the DB, the rest will run from anywhere. Ive spent HOURS trying to figure out whats going on and cant. If anyone has any clues as to why this happens, PLEASE let me in on the secret.
