Re: How to increase userthread in Informix 7.11
Posted in 1996
I posed this question recently, and
received two answers, one which suggested
altering the NETTYPE parameter to the
number of USERTHREADS I needed.
However, before I was able to do that, the
'dynamic' thread allocation (noted in all
7.10.UD1 and later release notes) took
place. When the active, total, and max all
equal 128, the next 'active' causes the
'total' to increase to 256 (as someone else
pointed out).
Note that this value remains only as long
as the engine is up. It will revert to 128
the next time shared memory is initialized.

We would like to know how to increase the
number of userthreads in Informix 7.11.UC2?
From the last line of "onstat -u " command
show as followings:
" active user xx , 128 total , max
concurrent user xxx"
Does this "128 total" is the number of user
licence ? can we increase the user threads
more than 128 without user licence upgrade?
Best Regards.
