I'm guessing that the optimum will actually be somewhere in between, where you run N concurrent reports, because you should get some benefit out of running more than one at a time, but running them all at once might thrash the machine a bit. It depends on the complexity of the reports and the volumes of data. You might have to sort the order in which you fire the reports off a little as well.
