In short, you need a separate entry in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts for each IP address. The server should have all of its addresses (with a different serever name) in it's sqlhosts (and all should be listed in the DBSERVERALIASES parameter) and each client should have the IP addresses and DBSERVERNAMEs it uses in its own local sqlhosts. See pages 4-30 through 4-41 of the Informix-Online Dynamic Server Administrator's Guide, Volume 1 for some examples. Pages 10-33 & 10-34 discuss setting up sqlhosts for more than one IP address. I recall seeing a more detailed example of this somewhere in an Informix manual (maybe it was from a training class), but I can't seem to find it now.
