Newbie Install on AIX Q?

We just installed Informix Dynamic Server on an AIX 4.3.2 box for a customer. The installation went just normally with no error messages. However, now, when we reboot the system the boot doesn't complete. I have searched this usenet group and informix's web site for answers with no luck. The boot process is in the runtime initialization phase. The rc.tcpip runs and then that's where it hangs. I cannot cancel out of it. I have searched rc.tcpip, rc and inittab for anything seemingly informix related without finding anything. Has anyone experienced this and does anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks in advance.

More information would be usefull. Has kaio been loaded before the DB engine starts? How are you starting the engine from /etc/inittab?
