RAID 10 possibilities

Informix 7.30.uc7 HPUX 10.20 HP K200 I'm looking to implement mirroring and striping as necessary on my production system. Here are the drives from which I get to choose: 8 2G drives 3 4G drives 8 9G drives I'll be expanding my physical and logical log setups with this configuration; they've been in need of tuning for a bit as related to size and placement. I also have a list of hot tables as related to disk accesses, reads and writes. I also plan to mirror the whole instance at this point. Any thoughts concerning general setup and striping? While I've been a DBA for almost 5 years. this is a new area for me and I'd like to make an intelligent guess about what needs to go where and why. Any words of wisdom from those of you who have been doing this would be a real encouragement to a growing DBA. If you could point me to a website or a book concerning the issues of striping and mirroring, I'd really appreciate it also. Thanks in advance, John Carlson Informix DBA WHSmith USA
