Hi. We have Informix-SE 7.20, and use Informix 4GL 6.04 language. Our databases are small (500 Mo max, with 1200000 rows in the biggest table) and only contain very simple data (numeric, alphanumeric, date, datetime). We intend to change I-SE to Informix-OnLine, because we need multi-databases applications. With SE, we have very little administration needs (just reset the logfiles daily). My questions are: - what kind of regular administrative tasks requires OnLine ? - will the 4GL applications still run after changing SE to OnLine ? What kind of problems may we expect ? Sorry for the bad English. Thanks in advance. Philippe.
