I believe that with ANSI, if you are not the owner of the table, you
must precede the name of the table with the owner.
This could be your problem.

We have a simple esqlc program that updates a column in a table.
It works fine with all of our standard Informix environments. When
we try to run the same program on the ANSI environment, we
get the error 243:
-243 Could not position within a table table-name.
What do we need to do to make this work in the ANSI environment?
