You have most likely installed your products in the *wrong* order. The order of installation is: tools, engines, connectivity products. The -581 errors always occurs if the products have been installed in the wrong order. Re-install in the proper order, and it should work! Good Luck Joanne Dority "-- An independent Informix developer"
