Maintain a certified > It is in the US only, I called Informix Uk sales at the start of this >year and the response was....IT'S NOT AVAILABLE IN THIS COUNTRY.. > AND YOU EXCEPT ME TO WAIT. Not at all! According to the web page, the program is available in around 36 different countries, sometimes in the local language. I don't know why it isn't in England (must be problems with the translation into *real* English ;) ) but it is available in France. Just a "chunnel" drive away. > I even considered taking my holiday in the USA but funds don't >stretch that far.. Too bad. It's a beautiful place. Sounds like a business opportunity to attend the conference, take some exams, and go on holiday all at the same time. >>professionals list that individuals and companies can be listed on for a >>small fee. The list should include details of what the individuals/companies >>have been certified to do. The list should be freely available to any >>organisation that uses informix. I have heard talk of such a list, but I haven't seen one. Internally we promote the program strongly, but that is not exactly the same thing. The program managers for the ICPP are really interested in feedback, and in improving their product. Now that the principal exams are finished one of their jobs is making things new and improved. There are a couple of official ways to provide feedback. One is on the evaluation form given each time you take an exam. Another is via the "feedback" button on every Informix web page. Yet another is to speak directly with the program managers, who were at the User Conference last year, and (I expect) will be there again this year.
