I use Fourgen Forms CASE Tool only, so I can't say anything on the accounting applications. Our team have used Forms for developing information system for large goverment office. I don't say Forms is a bad product. It's a nice little private world. It has nice features, good libraries, code generator, some bugs too ;-) Any part of this tool supports other parts of it, but doesn't support anything else. We got into troubles, when we wanted to implement more complicated application structure and hit the limits of the tool. (We have implemented more than 100 interconected modules.) My conclusion is Forms CASE is good tool for (relatively) small applications or for use as a quick and dirty prototyping tool. Finally, I didn't see any other product with its capabilities (maybe Tim Schaefer's tools - email:tschaefe@gate.net http://www.gate.net/~tschaefe). I wait for NewEra's character-based terminal classes (I hope it will be released soon).
