(I assume that this is the same problem that you are experiencing.) This is a recognised bug in OnLine, and the bug number is 15129. The bug is supposed to be fixed in version 5.02. We are currently in the process of upgrading to 5.02, so I cannot tell you how well it works :). If this problem means that you run out of memory (once sqlturbo gets to a certain size you get the error message "Cannot allocate memory for sort" or some such error) you can do one of two things: 1) Increase the address of SHMBASE in your config file. (This does not alleviate the problem, but it means your program does not crash.) 2) Every so often, close your database, call sqlexit (see the manual) which will kill off your sqlturbo, and then open the database again. This will stop your program consuming resources, but it will take time to restart the sqlturbo. For use, the former alternative is preferred as we have a program that does a _lot_ of database swapping (hey, why not use a synonym?) and to periodically restart the sqlturbo would be too time consuming. If we restart the program at least every day, we don't run out of memory. Ben Kelley (Waiting for 5.02...) -- Ben Kelley (Good Guy) - SBC Australia Ltd.
