record locking in ESQL/C

Hi, new to the net. We use the C language with embedded SQL accessing SE. Does anybody know of routines that could be used for record locking ? For some reason we cannot use a cursor defined "for update". Thanks in advance. Luc Chatelain (ogc@cam.org)
