NET issues w/ Dynamic Online

[Release 7.12 Dynamic Online] NETTYPE ipcshm,1,32,CPU # Override sqlhosts nettype parameters NETTYPE soctcp,1,128,NET # Override sqlhosts nettype parameters I have had a problem twice in the last 4 days where while attempting to connect using a onsoctcp connection, we get the following error : "908: Attempt to connect to database server (bdhpdb1_net) failed." I change my INFORMIXSERVER value to bdhpdb1_shm and verify the database is fine. The only resolution I know of is to 'bounce' the Online, and then the NET connections function fine. My question regards is there a method to 'bounce' the NET piece of the Online w/o needing to 'bounce' the Online engine. I ask because the NET 'bounce' would not affect any other database activities (I use the 'shm' in all of my automation [backups,update statistics,...]). Thanks for any help! bobw
