Re: NewEra programers

My 2 cents worth: After a few years writing NewEra apps and now trying to write Java apps in Visual C@fe, I want my SuperTables back!! Visual C@fe's dbaware grid doesn't have much to offer and Roguewave's grid control for dbaware operations isn't much better. In Visual C@fe's dbaware grid, I get the quantity from a cell, multiply it by a factor, and set the value back in the cell. The first row's new value is displayed and all the others new values are not displayed. The values have changed underneath, however, because when I save the rows the new values are saved. Tech support at Visual C@fe said that their grids were written to have keyboard entry, not program entry. Roguewave's controls are supposed to be the "top of the line" and they have no column property sheets, etc. While other IDEs may have more showy, beautiful, and snappy controls, NewEra is leaps and bounds over these because of substance.
