I don't know about "quotable" (or "reliable" for that matter), but there is an archive of articles from informix-list/comp.databases.informix at the International Informix Users Group home site. Try either: http://www.iiug.org/usente/cdi_archive.html ftp://ftp.iiug.org/pub/informix/news ftp://ftp.mathcs.emory.edu/pub/informix/news (FTP mirror site) I started the Informix mailing list (informix-list) in February of 1991 when there were no product-specific newsgroups under comp.databases. At that time I had something of a gateway running that posted all informix-list messages to c.d, and sent Informix-related c.d articles to the list. The newsgroup comp.databases.informix was voted into existence in September of that same year. The archive contains selected articles from the time when only the list was running. At that time I was attempting to keep articles such as recurring and non-technical articles out of the archive. One of the things that justified the splitting off of c.d.i from c.d was the steadily increasing volume on informix-list and c.d. It was that same volume that made trying to manually filter articles for archiving unfeasible. Consequently, everything ever posted to c.d.i, starting with from its creation in September, 1991, is in the archive. You might want to check the Web site first, since it has a full context search facility. The ftp archives contain "index" files that are built from article Subject lines.
