I've recently gone through some headaches w/ISM and On-Bar running in conjunction with OnLine XPS 8.21.UD1. Have you run the following as root: ism_startup -init This performs some very necessary setup. The '-init' parameter is only required the first time. Afterwards, just run ism_startup as root.
