i4gl -> New Era Conversion Tool

Many people have been posting messages looking for a tool to aid them in the conversion process from 4gl to NewEra. Our company, The Technology Group, has developed such a tool. The application generator takes full advantage of the object oriented language combining the Informix 2.0 class libraries with your existing 4gl code. Another benefit of the tool is that is allows for a single point of entry for source code. What this means is that you only have to maintain one file for both the 4gl & NewEra code. The advantages of this is obvious to anyone who is concerned with both support &/or maintenance. The code generator also eliminates the costs associated with the huge NewEra learning curve. Because of the fact that the tool converts 4gl -> NE, you can continue working in a language you're familiar (informix-4gl) with while slowly picking up the skills required to code in an object oriented environment. Just to give you an idea as to how powerful the tool can be, we were able to convert our manufacturing/distribution package (~1.9 million lines of code, over 700 screens) in just under 3 months.
