Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Error -212 just says that the index could not be created. Error -116
tells you why, finderr -116 says the error text is: ISAM error: cannot
allocate memory. The index create required additional vitual memory
for sort-work space and could not allocate it. There might be several
reasons amoung these: You have SHMTOTAL set too low in your ONCONFIG
file and the engine could not allocate an additional virtual segment
because of this. Run onstat -g seg and compare the total sizes of all
of the class V segments to the SHMTOTAL value if SHMTOTAL is larger
than this total plus SHMADD then this is not the problem. If it is not
then increase SHMTOTAL to allow at least one more virtual segment or
just set it to zero meaning no limit.
If the problem is not SHMTOTAL look to see if you are out of memory
and/or swap on the system (or might have been at the time). If there
was plenty of memory check the kernel parameters to make sure that the
kernel will allow as large a shared memory allocation per process as
you will need.
