This is odd - Check Informix Online Dynamic Server
Admin. Guide, Volume 2 Version 7.1 Page 38-18.
"The DBSPACETEMP configuration paramaters is a list of dbspaces used
to globally manager the storage of temporary tables"
"If both standard and temporary dbspaces are listed in the DBSPACETEMP
configuration parameter or environment variable the following rules
apply:
- Sort, archive, implict, and nonlogging explicit temporary tables
are created in temporary dbspaces if adequate space exisits.
- Explict temporary tables created without the WITH NO LOG option
are created in standard (non-temporary) dbspaces."
You are creating a non-logging explict temporary table so it
should be created in the temporary dbspace IF ADEQUATE SPACE EXISTS.
Maybe there is not enough space in the temporary dbspace.
