copy the standard onconfig file and make as few changes as possible to the different parameters. after you are sure you can bring informix online, should you begin to make changes to the onconfig parameters. Use ONMONITOR to make the changes. It will protect you from many mistakes. I suggest change one parameter at a time, and keep notes as to what you change. Good luck..
