File is not open error message

Why is my Informix On-Line, running on an RS-6000 under AIX 3.0 giving me this message: Cannot read systables File is not open. Lately it began to issue this message so often. If I quit the application I'm running and execute it again, there's no porblem. Any idea? Alfonso alfonso@mtecv2.mty.itesm.mx
