What kind of machine ARE you running on? Informix has many versions higher than your 4.x unless you are on a platform that cannot be upgraded due to 1/many OS issues. Have you considered upgrading to the 5.x family? Would 'Stored Procedures' and 'triggers' be any good help to you? Think about it. JsJr.
