Change LTAPEDEV in the ONCONFIG file to /dev/null and change ALARMPROGRAM from usr/informix/etc/log_full.sh to usr/informix/etc/no_log.sh. This will cause your logical logs to be discarded immediately upon completion. Only the online copy of the logs not yet reused will still exist for fast recovery after a crash and no restore to the latest moment is possible. Art S. Kagel
