Alas, no. But there are at least two work-arounds. 1. Run within a shell script that prompts for an output file name. Let ACE write out to some name (always the same, say FILE) and then let the script rename (unix mv) the file to the correct new name. 2. Use 4GL and forget the problem. Good luck!
