[this is for the author of dostats ;-)] is the current version at the iiug repository only for v11.x ? I could compile the source for a solaris 10/ifx 10.00.FC9 box but once I run it I get: SQL ERR -9628 [Type (type_name) not found.] and it gets frozen. Did you read the BUILDING notes file? It is offered for you to view when you unpack the shell archive! Paragraph #2 states: If you are using a CSDK version earlier than 3.50 or any of the older independent ESQL/C versions you will have to uncomment the line in the makefiles that adds -EDbigint=int to the ECFLAGS define. The latest releases of dostats and myschema depend on BIGINT support to handle very large numbers like row counts for extremely large tables. Since IDS and the CSDK do not support 64bit native integers in any other manner, if you do not have CSDK v3.50 or later you will not get support for tables with more than 2^31-1 rows. So, did you include the "-EDbigint=int" flag in the ECFLAGS definition in the makefiles (Makefile or Makefile.nognumake and myschema.d/myschema.mk.norcs or myschema.d/myschema.mk.norcs.nognumake)? Also, the error text you quote below does not appear verbatum in any of my utilities. It is helpful if you cut and paste the exact error message and text above and below it when you want to report a problem so that I can find the location of the particular problem in the source code. All errors in my utilities are tagged with a unique set of text so that I can easily do that without having to debug on your systems! Art Art S.
