Get the new free version of Informix IDS 7.3 from Informix. Then you can use GLS instead of NLS and you will have many other advantages as well. To support estonian you will have to have a directory under your INFORMIXDIR with the right GLS support file for that language. If that doesn't come with the product you will have to either find another language that also have the same character properly supported or talk to Informix about having the appropriate files generated. To use GLS you essentially set the DB_LOCALE and CLIENT_LOCALE environement variables (on NT I would assume they are in the registry) before you create the database. You also have to set these variables on each machine that is to access this database.
