We have installed Unix 4.0E in Digital Alpha m/c. All client products and IDS 7.3 were installed. When I initialized the IDS server with an oninit or oninit -i, it was hanging. I used -v option. It goes fine through the first 3 steps and when it allocates and attches shared memory, this problem happens. I pressed ^c and came out. But when I checked ps -ef | grep onin, it shows the oninit process running. After 2 or 3 times, I could see multiple oninit processes going on. Nothing is written in the log file also and it is empty. Any solutions will be highly appreciated. Thanks Sam
