Mike Onperf looks for the Unix kernel in root. On HP machines it is somewhere = else. You need to create a symbolic link from the kernel to the root = directory with the same name for the link file. The display variable is set correctly, I get the window, but I can't get any metrics choices to display for selection. I tried setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib/Motif1.2 (the manual says to set the display variable and the ld_library_path variable-that's the extent of informix's guidance) I get the message "can't open onedcu". Any help would be appreciated. =20 TIA Mike Matthews mmatt@halcyon.com Mike: Have you started up the probe it's in $INFORMIXDIR/bin and is called onprobe, start this in the background.
