IDS restore stuck in fast recovery during restore

Hi I am busy with a physical restore on all the dbspaces of a SAP system runnug on IDS7.31.FD1 on solaris8 and I am running into a problem where the engine gets stuck for hours waiting for checkpoint while in fast recovery. The output of running the onstat - command is : Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.FD1 -- Fast Recovery (CKPT REQ) -- Up 02:33:57 -- 1332224 Kbytes Blocked:CKPT This tends to remain without any change. Using ( truss -p ) on the individual onbar_d -r processes shows most of them as sleeping.
