Re: Datetime problem continued...

amr,
I think you found a bug. I ran the following code on my AT&T 3B21000
model 80 running Informix SE running isql 4.10.UC1 with the 4.1 engine
and I got a core dump as well:
database vth end
define
variable p_time datetime hour to minute
end
input
prompt for p_time using "Time (HH:MM): "
end
select * from invoice
where extend (open_date, hour to minute) = $p_time
end
format every row end
But I did find a workaround. Enter your time as a character string and
then convert it to a datetime interval, as follows:
database vth end
define
variable p_time char (5) {enter as datetime hour to minute}
end
input
prompt for p_time using "Time (HH:MM): "
end
select * from invoice
where extend (open_date, hour to minute) =
extend ($p_time, hour to minute)
end
format every row end
Hope this helps!
Cathy
