Way back when before REAL unix computers were in wide spread use in data processing SCO/Informix was a natural combo for small applications - I think it still is. SCO and SE are natural low-maintenance setups. Why my client once went two years without updating statistics OR backing up (>shudder<)! (200,000 row primary table). Dave won't say this about himself but he's one of the all-time gurus of the twain. (Any minute now I'm going to get mail bombed by The Dave ;-^ ) (p.s. y'all be sure to buy Dave a beer for me in Chicago y'hear? While I'm not going to be there... Is there anybody else I should get y'all to buy a beer for me? Jonathan?) cheers j. _____________________________________________________________________________ Jack Parker - Hewlett Packard, DMD/IS Boise, Idaho, USA jparker@hpbs3645.boi.hp.com Back in Boise _____________________________________________________________________________ If anything can go wrong, fix it.
