Setting logical log backup thresholds in 11.50

I am running IDS 11.50 FC8 and run continuous logical log backups to tape. I want to be able to set a threshold for my logical log backup to tape to occur at-least every 15 minutes regardless if the most current log is 100% full or not. This is to fulfill a business continuity requirement of a 15 minute Recovery Point Objective (RPO). Does anyone know if an onconfig parameter or alarmprogram setting to meet this requirement? Also, is there any impact on performance with a setting of 15 minutes? Thanks, Scott
You can set up a dbcron task to do this. Basically spawn an onmode -l to
force a log switch followed by the log backup.

Scott,
All you have to do is to have a cron task (or an Informix task manager task
for that matter) wake every 15 minutes and execute an "onmode -l" to force
the engine to change logs. That will automatically trigger the
ontape/onbar to archive that log file. If you want to get fancy, you could
check to see if the log file has anything in it first, but otherwise this
is trivial.
