Anyone hear of SQL-99 yet?

Hi Family, I've just read an article by Michael Gorman in "The Data Administrator's Newsletter" (AKA TDAN) discussing new language standards for SQL that free up many restrictions. For example, arrays and subdivided columns. The article can be found at URL: http://www.tdan.com/i008hy02.htm . I think Informix, which we all know and love, implemented SQL-92 for the 7.30 engine. Most recent versions of Informix databases meet the entry-level requirements of SQL-92, which are substantially the same as the requirements for SQL-89. As yet, no version of Informix implements the full SQL-92 standard. I'm not sure that any other commercial database vendor does. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
