RE: IIUG ELection

I have a question. I just read the Insider for October that mailed on 10/31. This Insider said the president of the IIUG board for 2007 has already been elected. That doesn't make sense does it? The IIUG board for 2007 is not yet in place, but the president as voted in by the board is already in place.....Why would the OUTGOING board be responsible for positioning the president for the new incoming board? Wouldn't the NEW board members in 2007 get a say in it?..... for example... if new board is "seated" in January, perhaps in February the president "run off" takes place and the new board elects the prez for a year. This gives the current prez an opportunity to impress the new board... and also others an option of becoming prez?.... Just 2 cents for discussion.... Your question has given us the idea for creating a "history" page. We'll be working on gathering answers to that question - and likely some other things - and will be adding that to the IIUG web site. We'll let you know when it is up. June
