Strange Problem "Character to numeric conversion error"

Hello, all Informix Gurus I have a very strange problem on my database server. I have an Informix instance IDS 7.30 running on RS6000 and AIX 4.3.2 A VB program tries to update a record in a specific table. The SQL statement return an error: [Informix][OnLine Dynamic Server][training] SQL Error (-1213): Character to numeric conversion error I tried a different update statement like "update pmf set afm_id = afm_id where 1 = 1" on the same table from the same VB program, or from Informix SQL Editor tool: I still have the error. From the Unix Console, using Informix dbaccess, I tried to create a record in this table. I don't have any problem to do that. The records are created or updated with no error. At this point, after this SQL statement on the Unix box, if I try again to update my table from my NT workstation (using vb application or SQL Editor), it is working. And it is working until the next time we put the database Off-Line.
