Hi,
If you are using Online 7.1x you have NLS features.
You are enabled to use language specific files i.e. code pages coming
with your operating system. Beacuse of this it is called National
Language Support.
If you have Online 7.2x you can use any language that Informix has
related files in its GLS directory although your system does not
support them which is called Global L. S.
Returning to your case since you have NLS enabled database you should
set the env. var.'s below:
LC_COLLATE
LANG
LC_CTYPE all of three are set to "se_se..."
DBNLS is set 1 -> users can connect the databases that have
the NLS settings are the same with the env.
var.'s above OR
2 -> users can connect any of the databases since
env. settings are got from the database itself.
(most suitable)
I hope this would help :)
