SGI and INET

Friends, We are running ONLINE and ISTAR and INET on SGI workstations. We have discovered that INET, client INET, uses the local /etc/passwd file, not the master /etc/passwd.nis. We find this situation clumsey. Can anyone confirm this to be their experience also, and does Informix view this as a bug? We are grateful that it is running, period.
