We have a V7.30.UC8 server on Solaris 2.6, 1GB memory, no space problems. The server is connected to a Lawson finance application but has started to get error -406 recently on one particularly memory hungry job. JC> Not particularly. We're been running IDS 7.30.uc7 with HPUX 10.20 (now HP11.0) with no problems. We are not sure if this is a memory capacity problem but Lawson have said that we need to upgrade the SDK to 2.5. I did not know we had this installed! They seem to indicate that this would upgrade esql so that we could recompile the object that connects Informix to Lawson. JC> We upgraded from ESQL/C 7.24 (HP 10.20) to SDK 2.50 (ESQL/C 9.40) on HPUX 11. ESQL/SDK is used by Lawson to compile their object files (for Informix access) with the required libraries. The process is pretty painless. We have tried rebooting the Informix server to no avail. How do I find out if the SDK is installed? What components will SDK 2.5 change/upgrade? JC> From the command line type: esql -V This will give you the version number. It will show the ESQL version number. Is there anyway to see how much memory is being used by the system; Informix is using abnout 420Mb memory & vmstat shows paging in around 40, paging out at 30. JC> Not sure on Solaris Any info would be appreciated. Thanks /Dave Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/
