These are generally being hit alot, so for performance reasons, why not place them in seperate dbspaces, preferrable by themselves. Also, if possible place their respective dbspaces, as near the center of the disk as possible (again, for performance reasons). >2. If you are planning to migrate to 7.x, I would suggest avoiding striping, since the implementation of Fragmentation, does essentially a SQL/data level version of this. The benefit here, is that the server/optimizer knows where the data is.
