You should also post your onconfig file. You indicate that you need to test a large queries performance. It could be that the instance is not configured properly. The first instance I brought up worked fine until I had inserted 50,000 transactions - then hit the floor. After tuning LRU's and BUFFERS performance skyrocketed.
