IIUG - Advocacy Prgm. Announcement
Posted in 1997
The IIUG Advocacy Committee would like to announce that Tony Edwards, a DBA with Bellsouth in New Zealand, has agreed to be the chair of the Administration and Performance Management Tools and Utilities sub-committee. This committee's activities will focus on the Informix products and utilities DBA and engine administrators use to do their job, including the newly released Informx-Enterprise Command Center. The committee will solicit feedback and suggestions from Informix users on how these tools and utilities can be improved. They will work towards getting existing Informix utilities fully documented. In addition, they will make suggestions about new products that Informix should consider to enhance and enlarge what they have to offer. Finally, they will attempt to augment the existing IIUG archive of tools and utilities with programs created by Informix administrators around the world to make their jobs easier. Anyone interested in Informix's administration and performance management tools are invited to participate on this committee.
